If I could give Michelle 6 out of 5 stars I would! Above and beyond the best service plus incredibly reasonable fixed pricing to close the deal and/or bid at auction. Michelle gave so much more and was there for me outside the brief during the 2 weeks prior to auction, explaining, re-assuring and giving me information I couldn’t find elsewhere, acquired from years of experience as a buyers agent.

Michelle wasn’t a real estate agent in a past life, so unlike most buyers agents I’ve hired or thought about hiring I wasn’t given the hard sell. The fixed prices for bidding are transparent and also mean Michelle doesn’t have a conflict of interest or incentive to bid auction prices up for a higher commission. It meant I got the only apartment I wanted for an incredibly reasonable price, far lower than I anticipated. In addition to this Michelle took a lot of anxiety out of this process and gave me the support no friend or family member could have given. Worth her weight in gold, and gold prices are high right now….

Michelle and Kate were amazing to work with. We were hesitant to engage a buyers agent because we’d heard horror stories and frankly didn’t really understand how they could help us. However, after being priced out of the market for two years, we decided to give it a go.

We met Michelle by simply contacting her via her website, and she was so lovely, empathetic, and clearly knew her stuff. As fate would have it, there were also a few people in our network who knew her and couldn’t speak more fondly of her character and work.

We decided to sign on, even though we hadn’t budgeted for a buyers agent, and looking back now, it was worth every penny. Michelle and Kate challenged us in the best ways possible, and showed us a house that wasn’t in our preferred area. Not because it wasn’t a great area, but because we were so hyper-focused on staying where we currently lived.

The first house we saw was the house we ended up purchasing and we are so incredibly happy in our new place. Though none of this would have been possible without their help. Michelle did all the hard work, negotiating, dealing with agents, sellers, all we had to do was say yes or no.

On top of all of that, Michelle even helped us when it came to selling our own home. Our selling agent was pushing us to accept a price we weren’t happy with, and Michelle coached us on exactly what to say and how to push back. We ended up selling for $200k more than what was originally on the table.

It was genuinely the best experience I could have asked for. Michelle and Kate are so incredibly talented and passionate about what they do, they were there whenever we needed and always made sure we were informed throughout the process. Additionally, they’re so respected in the industry that agents love to work with them, which is a huge win for buyers as well.

Michelle and her team were incredible to work with. We were recommended by a friend who worked with Nicola on Michelle’s team. After meeting with a few buyers agents in the Inner West, we decided to go with Michelle’s team due to the glowing reviews and recommendations from friends.

We ended up working closely with Nicola who secured us an off market find in our top suburb and also ticked all of the boxes in an incredibly tough market. This wasn’t our first find, but it was certainly the best find. Nicola did all the due diligence for every property we were interested in. One of the best decisions we made when looking for our new home was having Michelle as our buyers agent. She is extremely knowledgeable and diligent, a genuine force of nature and just a delight to work with. Within a few weeks of engaging her we’d found the perfect place, a family home that we hope to be at for many years, which Michelle secured for us at auction.

Michelle guided us through the whole buying process, was always available when we wanted to chat things through, kind and empathetic when we needed support and also there for us when we needed a reality check!

Michelle viewed multiple properties with us and it became an amazing education for us of what to look for (and avoid!) when purchasing a home. For any properties we were interested in, Michelle created an extensive report (pricing research, flood plain information, upcoming council plans etc) so we knew how much the property fitted our brief, if it was a wise investment and the expected price range.

It’s been a few months since Michelle helped us securing a home right before the market went super hot. The investment we made in Michelle has paid off over & over, but the biggest thing we’ve realised is that you don’t see the importance of choosing a good, functional home until you have lived in it. Do you like walking downstairs each time you need to wash your hands? How about a living room that doesn’t fit basic furnitures? These are some of the mistakes that most first-time homebuyers are too excited to spot, and here’s where Michelle’s “Buying you better property” motto clicks. You’d be better off heeding her advice from years and years of looking at properties, rather than discovering the potholes on your own after living in the new place for some time and the “new house” excitement has worn off.

Acknowledging that we don’t know what we don’t know, we hired Michelle to help us find our forever home. With her methodical, data-driven approach, we were able to navigate an increasingly difficult seller market, side-step numerous self-inflicted mistakes and bought our dream home at an excellent price.

The true value of hiring Michelle is the education you gained by the end of the journey. You’ll never look at a property the same way again! Through her years of buying and renovating properties, Michelle has accumulated a wealth of information on all aspects of Sydney market, of which you now have the luck to leverage. History lessons on Victorian houses? Renovation costs for adding a floor? Is this a good street? How is the new principal at the local public school? What is that big pipe there in the backyard? There was no questions we asked that Michelle did not have a meaningful answer for. One could be forgiven to wonder how she can have contexts on so many disparate things all at once.

Finding a Sydney property is an emotion rollercoaster made even more tiring by the hungry seller agents and other missed-out, uninformed purchasers. So often we felt lucky to have Michelle representing us and doing all the legwork so we can enjoy the buying process. In total, she and her team reviewed 50+ properties, which would have taken us at least 7 months if we were going on our all every week and didn’t give in to burnout. Even though our buying profile kept changing as we saw more properties and suburbs (a common buyer story, I’d suspect), Michelle was very accommodating, and more than anything, she helped us discover what was really important to us. We ended up with a choice which we would never have even considered if not for Michelle, but for which we could not be happier.

Hiring a buyer agent is a big decision. For us, this has become an easy, and necessary, decision for the next time we buy. I hope this review helped you understand and make that leap too.
